Just imagine … with Johan Thornqvist

It’s been a while since I posted a found artist. I came across Johan Thörnqvist‘s work on ‘Where the lovely things are‘ blog and without trying, it drew me into it’s magical world of imagination.

The picture above is my favorite. I love everything about it – canola fields, flight, the tented trailer, the colours of the image, the illustration – it is fun, real and has the personal feeling that can only come from works developed by hand. It also reminds me of the stories I have heard about Jeremy’s family’s camping trips in their very kitted out green kombi that only went 80km/hr.

This delightful illustration come-photographic-design is called ‘Vespa’. I love the dog sitting on the kerb stone.

…and this image is sure to make you smile.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.
