My mom has had this cute little felt family on her dressing table for years. Every now and then they would disappear like the Borrowers to a drawer as she put them away afraid they might get hurt. The mom (who is only 3Inches tall) already has an ear missing and she also used to have a hat apparently.
They were given to my mom when she was little by her dad/my grandpa and made by a lady in Fish Hoek.
The attention to detail is amazing. Look at Dad’s glasses and the perfect blanket stitching around the edge of his blazer. The legs, arms and head also move allowing them to sit, walk and stand somewhat steadily on their legs.
It is great to see that the craft of miniature felt toys is still around. I found these adorable hand felted mice on etsy at The House of Mouse shop.
