School Books

For the past few years I have been making the teacher’s ‘Planning Books’ for Muizenberg Junior School‘s. They are a lot of work as each one is personalised but the teachers are thrilled when they get them and quickly the hard work and huge amount of time they take is forgotten.

This year there were more than before. 37 Books (some books are stuck together for extra pages but these only count as one book), for 27 teachers (some teachers have a ‘Learner Profiles’ book too). Each teacher also gets a diary covered in the matching wrapping paper.

Each book has got tags. These tags are decided by the teachers (as well as the page allocation for each one).

Some of the books are extremely complicated with over 300 pages and 4 levels of tags.

One of my favourite parts (my other favourite part is when they are finished) is choosing the wrapping papers. Some of them are so fun!

Nice! My mom does something similar with three ring binders so they can be refilled easily. Plus, she does all of her lesson plans on Microsoft Outlook’s calendar, so she prints them out to put in the binders.

I didn’t you know you made books too! These are very nice and i love the wrapping papers too.
Everytime I travel abroad I buy notebooks. They might be regular notebooks for the locals but I just love the different types and measurements.

I had to laugh at “muizenberg”…

Hi Wendrin…………..always appreciate the hard work you put into making our planning books. I call it it “My Mobile Brain” without it I am totally lost. I am one of the fortunate educators that receives these books at the start of year. Thank you

Thank you so much for all your hard work. Mine is the very complicated book! You have done a wonderful job and I really appreciated it! It makes my life uncomplicated and as Sheurle says I’m lost without it!
