Wren Mini Sleeves are made from digitally-printed reclaimed paper. This range is a collaboration with well-known South African design studio EVOLUTION PRODUCT.
Blagrave’s Ferns:
In 1860 Thomas C. Blagrave created a comprehensive study of ferns in South Africa. Blagrave was a retired lieutenant colonel from England who created this unique and comprehensive study of local ferns in during his stay in Wynberg, South Africa. He recorded his findings of fresh and dried specimens as photo prints. The texture of the photographic paper and the iridescent effect of the film in contrast to the negative silhouette of the ferns captures the magic of these plants and time.

How do we make them? Reclaimed brown paper is collected from a local packaging factory. This is then digitally printed with archival images in collaboration with EVOLUTION PRODUCT. Next, we fuse the paper to a special cotton to make it strong enough to stitch. Once made up by our team of very skilled seamstresses the sleeve is sprayed to be water resistant.
And there is more: There are two pockets – one for the device and the other for pens, papers, cables – or whatever you wish to use a second pocket for. To close, the sleeve magically holds shut with two magnets that will not damage your device.
