Persimmon Notebook Organiser

This Organiser will answer your deep longing for the perfect desk-on-the-go, notebook simplicity and order.

Made using a single sheet of screen-printed paper fused to black cotton for strength that is coated to be water resistant. Each side is folded over to give you a magic magnetic double close system (you can fold the cover left-to-right, or right-to-left). This is a great product for those left-handers or ambidextrous souls!

Inside there is space for 5 pen and card holders as well as two note pockets. Each Organiser comes with two A5 soft notebooks which are made in South Africa with brown kraft covers and are debossed with a subtle Wren bird at the bottom. Centre-sewn spine with bright red thread, 64pages (32 leaves) unprinted, off white, acid-free 80gsm paper. Rounded corners ensure no sharp edges cut in to your hands. The Promenade in Sea Point is one of designer Heather Moore’s a favourite places in Cape Town, because there is just so much to see. Waves & surfers, paragliders & windblown trees, pram pushers & wheelchairs, dogs & joggers all make up a passing parade that’s one of the enduring pleasures of Cape Town life, & one that’s free for all to enjoy.

Alongside the passing parade, the Promenade has a wealth of midcentury architecture, which adds a particular charm to the stretch of Beach Road from Mouille Point to Three Anchor Bay.

After years of walking, driving, cycling (and once even rollerblading) past the mosaic wall of the public bathrooms on Beach Road, Skinny laMinx designer Heather Moore stopped to sketch the design, and realised that it was the first time she’d looked at it properly.

The result of taking the time to slow down and look closely at this unnamed piece of midcentury public art is the PROMENADE collaboration with The Wren Design.

This new collection of the Wren’s signature paper laptop sleeves, bags and wallets are screenprinted with two designs – MEANDER and PROMENADE – in playful colours that express the freewheeling joy of an aimless summer stroll along the Sea Point Promenade.

“Take a Story With You” is the Wren’s slogan, and the story of the PROMENADE collaboration with Skinny laMinx is reminder to slow down and take note of the everyday beauty available for all to see.
