Turquoise Dots & Squares Mini Sleeve

So what’s with the dots and squares? Have you ever played the game “connect the dots”? It is a game played by two people to pass the time. You start with a sheet of paper filled with dots spaced equally and you move by connecting two dots with a line. When you place the last “wall” of a single square, the box is yours and the player with the most boxes at the end of the game is the winner.

This hand drawn game was translated into a design by scanning the game being played at various stages, as played by two design students waiting for class, over several days.

How do we make them? Reclaimed brown paper is collected from a local packaging factory. This is then screen-printed and fused to a special cotton to make it strong enough to stitch. Once made up by our team of very skilled seamstresses the sleeve is sprayed to be water resistant.

And there is more: There are two pockets – one for the device and the other for pens, papers, cables – or whatever you wish to use a second pocket for. To close, the sleeve magically holds shut with two magnets that will not damage your device.
