Held at the Norval Foundation in Cape Town, ILTM Africa is one of the most exclusive gatherings in the global luxury travel calendar, a curated event where the world's top travel experience makers meet the buyers and tastemakers who share the same passion for travel, nature, and the beauty Africa has to offer.
Being part of ILTM Africa 2026 as an exhibitor and as the official bag designer was a proud moment for Wren. Our ProtectPaper® bags were in the hands of buyers and travel professionals from around the world, and alongside the event bags, we hosted a pop-up showcasing our latest bespoke and collaborative pieces, including our curated collaboration with Ultima Antarctic Expeditions and the Wren x Tretchikoff collection. A chance to tell the stories behind the work, in front of an audience that understands the value of craft, sustainability, and intention.

Wendren reflects on what made it special:
"One of the nicest things about ILTM was being around people who are so passionate about nature. Wherever we're going, especially focusing on Africa, it's always pointed out that it's either shopping or safari. By default, I'm drawn towards the bushvelt kind of tourism, and at ILTM, I found my people.

I had the most wonderful conversations with people from all over the world, sharing a common passion for this continent. Sitting at dinner, I found myself talking to a lady from Peru about our local dish pap, touching on experiences and visits to places like Angola, then turning to someone who had written a magazine article about Zimbabwe, comparing notes on a place we both knew was far more complex and extraordinary than any single article could capture. And then the tour guide across the way joins in with his own Zimbabwe story. That's ILTM. That's what happens when you put the right people in a room together.
Some of the most grounding moments came not from the scheduled meetings, but from the real conversations, the people on the floor who are living and breathing this work every day. A shared passion for Africa, for protecting it, appreciating it, and nurturing it, is something Wendren found reflected back again and again throughout the event."
That kind of connection is, for Wren, what sustainable business actually looks like. Not just transactions, but relationships with room to grow, ones that can convert into something meaningful, collaborative, and lasting.
