No. Most laptops are made with solid state hard drives that are not affected by magnetic forces. The magnets used in the wallets are strategically placed to limit interaction with any magnetic strip on any card.

Our paper surfaces are coated with a super fine layer of Nano Liquid Glass. This makes the surface water resistant. If water gets on the paper, simply wipe the excess water off as quickly as possible and leave in the sun to dry.

Wren’s guarantee is for two years. We have had customers use our products for over seven years before ordering a replacement. If you need a replacement please get in touch — we would love to trade your old product for a voucher to be used for your new one. We use previously loved products to show customers durability.

We accept payments made via the secure payment gateway Payfast or Payflex. Both payment gateways accept MasterCard and VISA cheque, credit cards and debit cards.

Orders are posted within 2–3 days of receiving payment. Orders received on Friday or during the weekend will be posted on Monday.

Yes. All international orders are posted with FedEx. It takes 5–14 working days to arrive. All delivery times are on a best-effort basis and The Wren Design cannot be held liable if a parcel arrives later than lead times. Orders can be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, strikes, etc.

We keep a close eye on service delivery of local courier companies. Our favourite for fast, reliable, contactable and affordable delivery is Pudo (powered by The Courier Guy). We drop your order at a Courier Guy Kiosk and they deliver to your door. Delivery with Pudo/Courier Guy is typically 1–3 working days.

Every country has a different customs tax and it is not guaranteed that you will be charged tax at all.

In Europe we are registered with Euro1 and you should not be charged any duties. Costs such as clearance or local tax (VAT or GST) are for your own account.

A 15% duties tariff (as of 24 February 2026) has been included in the shipping cost for every order going to the USA. The good news about including it here is that your order is shipped DDP (“delivered-to-place”), meaning you will not be charged any taxes to clear your order through customs.

Note: We do not include a receipt in the packaging unless requested.

Every parcel is registered and comes with a tracking number. When your order has been packed and posted we will email you your tracking number.

All items are gift wrapped because we believe that even if you buy the item for yourself, it is a treat. This ‘gift’ is wrapped in a recycled born packaging box. Wherever possible we try to eliminate plastic from packaging.

Returns are handled on a case by case basis. If you are unhappy with what you ordered or if something goes terribly wrong (for example, the bag gets damaged) please email us within two weeks of receiving your parcel.

• The value of the bag will be refunded on receiving the returned bag in the same condition it was posted.

• The returned bag needs to be received (in South Africa) within 30 days of it arriving in the country of destination.

• Return shipping is at your cost unless the return is the result of an error on our side (wrong item, wrong address, etc.).

This rarely happens, but it would be ignorant to say never. Come hell or high water we will get your bag to you one way or another.

A parcel can only be called “lost” after 6 weeks. At this point we put in an inquiry with the postal service and give you the option of a full refund or a replacement bag at our cost.

The Wren Design has the sole rights to all the designs of all its products and these should not be copied in any form whatsoever. For collaborative design projects and ranges, permission has been given from the designer or artists to reproduce. When we use a company’s packaging permission has been received from the company allowing this (for example, Pretoria Portland Cement).

The POPI Act broadly requires businesses to limit the use of personal data, get consent before using it, and let users withdraw their consent later on. Our website does cache data, meaning it is stored in multiple copies of data or files in a temporary storage location. All physical printouts of personal data received from orders are shredded after 2 years. If you would like us to do this earlier than two years, please send a request via email or our contact page.

If you would like to use an image on our website we are generally open to this, but ask that you give us credit and let us know before publishing.
