The Paper Story : PAMSA & PRASA

As part of Minister Alan Winde’s First Thursday’s open office and GreenCape, we participated in the recycling exhibition this month.

It was great to meet various industry associations and other innovators that use recycled material.

My favourite connection was with The Paper Story (PAMSA), The Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa. PAMSA promotes the use of paper as a renewable and recyclable material for communication, packaging and a myriad of other applications.

PAMSA’s website also has some great downloaded printables and resources including the poster above and these fabulous weekly sheets!

PRASA, the Paper Recycling Association of South Africa, was the other company I was very grateful to meet at this event. “They promote a conscientious attitude towards paper recycling and efficient waste separation in businesses, homes and schools. By advocating for a culture of environmental and waste consciousness, millons of tonnes of recyclable paper are diverted from landfill.” (www.prasa.co.za)

They also have a great “printables” section on their site with images that can be downloaded for packaging, boxes and other purposes.

Their website is full of interesting facts and useful information. Its a gold mind that I cannot understand how I did not know about before!?!
